Description: The Retirement Systems branch of the HR Systems group is working on a project which calculates pension payments for hourly personnel. The candidate will have strong business analysis skills and will be the lead analyst on the project. Responsibilities would include: • Communicating with the customer on business requirements, and advising Project Manager of change to scope. • Defining acceptance test objectives. Assisting in system and integration testing. • Analyzing business needs and shaping solutions to address business needs. • Use of a variety of requirements elicitation techniques to discover software requirements. • Facilitation of discussions of requirements scope, priority, and dependencies. • Applying the use case approach, among other techniques, to document and communicate functional requirements. • Working with Application Architects, Developers, Test Coordinators and other team members to ensure they understand the requirements. Description: Overview - The candidate will be responsible directing a development team to create a transactional messaging network for the client. This network will import and export revenue transactions, tracking and monitoring data in and out of the client’s new Transaction Reporting System (TRS). There are two distinct phases to this project: 1. An effort is already underway to develop a short-term custom application to import and track collection data from a single source. A second release is planned to export data to one or two other sources. A very capable project team is already assembled and functioning. The current PM is moving to another project within the program. 2. The project team will participate in the selection of COTS products (e.g., EAI, ESB) to provide a scalable long-term solution to the systems integration challenges. There will eventually be tens of data sources and hundreds of data destinations. The team will implement new releases utilizing the chosen product(s).
