Description: As part of the Supply Chain Systems Department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data solutions across "Internal Systems" and our external business partners. In the next few years, we are expecting to share/exchange more information with our direct material suppliers and carriers. You will be working closely with other Data architects, MIS operations groups, technology development groups, and Anheuser-Busch suppliers. The candidate that is selected will: • Be assigned on a full-time basis. • Require a minimum 12-month commitment.
Ability to work with minimal direction, taking high-level business requirements and developing middleware and data designs. • Previous experience designing and creating distributed client/server solutions consisting of personal computers, mainframe, UNIX, and NT application servers. • Interpersonal skills for interaction with development, support staff, project team, customers and suppliers. • Ability to work with other members of the technical development team and provide guidance on best practices for middleware and data architecture. • Team player - must be able to interact with project team members. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management, as well as both the business and technical communities. • Excellent planning and analysis skills. • Capable of transferring knowledge to existing staff.
Required Skills: Design, implement, and manage the development interfaces between Supply Chain applications. • Construct, refine, and maintain documented information models to meet business requirements. • Devise, write, and test interfaces to application development programs. • Coordinate new development and ensure it is consistent and well integrated with existing information structure. • Strong data modeling skills. Will be required to develop the logical and physical model plus the generation and modification of DDL. • Conduct data quality reviews with data administration group to ensure standards are being followed. Required Technical Skills: • Experience with middleware products like IBM Websphere MQ Series. • Experience with mainframe, Unix (AIX), and Windows NT integration. • Eight plus years design and development experience. • Solid experience with Oracle 8i, 9i including SQL tuning & PL/SQL coding. • Understanding of transaction monitor utilization and integration issues. • Understanding of various data structures for multiple types of systems (Transactional and Operational Data Store).
