Job Description:
The pharmacist in charge (PIC) at each mail service pharmacy shall be the pharmacist named on the state pharmacy licenses. The PIC has the responsibility for ensuring, and the authority to ensure, that the site follows all state and federal laws and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy. The authority of other management is subject to state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations and the policies and procedures approved by the site PIC. Any and all changes to policies and procedures must be approved by the site PIC and the ESI PPPC committee.

The PIC’s most important duty is to ensure that pharmacy is practiced in a safe, lawful, ethical, and professional manner at all times. The PIC is responsible for making all decisions regarding the practice of pharmacy at the site and will work with department supervisors to ensure all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are appropriately involved in the practice of pharmacy. The PIC is responsible pharmacy quality assurance and process compliance, training and development of pharmacists and technicians, professional licensure of the pharmacy, pharmacists, and technicians, and communication of professional issues to pharmacists and technicians. Additionally, the pharmacist in charge will report all error in a timely manner, promptly escalate any know compliance issues, and work in collaboration with the Vice President, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacy Compliance Counsel and other pharmacy practice leaders to deliver safety and regulatory compliance.

Atchison Hospital, founded in 1912 is a 66 bed licensed non profit, acute care hospital. Located on the Missouri river, approximately 25 miles north of KCI airport, the hospital provides primary healthcare for Atchison, Brown, Doniphan and Jefferson counties in Kansas, and Buchanan and Platte counties in Missouri. We have an opportunity available for a Staff Pharmacist to work on a PRN basis. Ideal candidates should have a B.S. with a Masters in Pharmacy or PharmD, have experience with Pyxis, IVAD familiarization, and experience with Quadramed (PDS) pharmacy operating system. This position will need to be flexible and available to fill in for vacation coverage, weekends as needed or high patient census days.

Staff Pharmacist - Indianapolis, IN

Progressive Home Care Services, Inc has a first shift position available!  This Staff Pharmacist position provides professional pharmacy services in an institutional setting filling pharmacy orders for home infusion and hospice medication needs.  Working as a team member with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurses and support personnel, the staff pharmacist will work 12 hour shifts with two 6 hour shifts every other weekend.  Scheduled work hours are approximately three days on and four days off in rotation.  Experience in home infusion and hospice care is a plus.
