Facility is looking for a “bread and butter” general surgeon able to perform both open and laparoscopic cases. Candidates with vascular training will be preferred, but not required. The surgeon will also have the option to perform endoscopy. The candidate must be able to take trauma call on the normal rotation and live within 15 minutes of the Emergency Room. Referral base of 12 primary care physicians; estimated case volume of 90-100 cases per month (including endoscopy) based on historical volume. The facility currently has 2 full-time and one part-time general surgeon. Call will be shared with the full-time surgeons and will be 1 in 3. Independent solo-practice with Income Guarantee Agreement. Candidate will be offered a one-year cash collections guarantee (forgiven after a three year commitment) which will cover overhead and provide guaranteed income. The guarantee amount is negotiable, but will be approximately $420,000 for the first year and expected “take home” for the physician at $240,000 depending on overhead incurred. Practice Marketing package of up to $10,000 available. Relocation package of up to $10,000 available. Student loan repayment and malpractice premium assistance are also possible. Surgeon must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Practice start-up assistance – on staff expert, system wide practice management seminar, and provider application submission at no cost.
