Facility purchased practice of departing physician January 2004 and is searching for ideal Internal Medicine candidate to fill position. Ideal candidate is female IM generalist (as she’ll be the only female primary care physician in the market). Med/Peds candidates will also be given preference. Sub-specialists who will do significant primary care work will be considered. Practice demographics, historical charges and revenue, and payor mix are all available. Independent solo-practice with Income Guarantee Agreement. Candidate will be offered a one-year cash collections guarantee (forgiven after a three year commitment) which will cover overhead and provide guaranteed income. The guarantee amount is negotiable, but will be approximately $320,000 for the first year and expected “take home” for the physician at $160,000 depending on overhead incurred. Call will be shared with existing Internal Medicine practices. Currently that call is 1 in 3 or 1 in 4. Facility has a hospitalist on staff to take admissions and hospital call if desired, reducing the call burden on the candidate to outpatient or “beeper” call. Proven need for additional IM’s in market; Primary and secondary service areas of 65,000 people served by 3 IM’s currently. (GNEMAC calls for 12 for population this size). Practice Marketing package of up to $10,000 available. Relocation package of up to $10,000 available. Student loan repayment and malpractice premium assistance are also possible. Physician must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Practice start-up assistance – on staff expert, system wide practice management seminar, and provider application submission at no cost. Billing service available for fee. Medical office space available already set-up for internist practice available within 5 minutes of hospital. Will consider residents for summer 2005, but prefer someone available sooner.
