Req'd: BS degree in Occupational Therapy, must be certified by Texas State Board of OT; CPR certified. New grads accepted; 1-2 years rehab exper preferred.Performs assessments/re-assessments; performs an accurate evaluation appropriate to the specific case scenario & according to current standards of clinical practice. Completes documentation on same day treatment rendered. Selects & utilizes rehab equip.Treats patients: selects and applies appropriate OT techniques, procedures, exercises and therapeutic modalities based on current standards of clin practice. Modifies treatment to maximize patient progress. Supervises COTA's, OT Techs, students & volunteers. Assists in quality improvement & program development.Work day may include weekends; shift typically 7a-4p but may vary depending on needs of dept.. This is a non-exempt position.
