Job Description/Responsibilities:
5+ years in the insurance industry, capable of running audit jobs (supervise staff, interact with clients, review work papers). Must have solid documentation skills and be comfortable working in a paperless audit environment. Responsible for taking audit engagements right up to the report drafting stage. Knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) related to Property and Casualty Insurance Companies and the following specific auditing areas: Revenue Recognition, Investment Acounting, Losses and Loss Expense Reserves and Reinsurance. Ability to understand client's operational databases (premiums and claims) and how they flow into the accounting system.
Knowledge of GAAP for Property Casualty Insurance Companies a plus.
